Inaugural APFC Event in India
On December 5, 2025, Bengaluru, India hosted the very first Anthony Pettis Fighting Championship event on Indian soil. APFC India 1 also marked a historic milestone as the first fight night from India to be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass, bringing international attention to the nation’s growing MMA scene.
The enthusiastic audience witnessed an action-packed fight card featuring thrilling MMA bouts, showcasing both emerging talent and elite athletic performance. The event set a new benchmark for professional mixed martial arts in India and highlighted APFC’s commitment to expanding the sport globally.


On December 4, 2025, ahead of APFC India 1, the first official UWMMA judge and referee training in India took place. More than twenty participants seized the opportunity to receive comprehensive instruction from UWMMA World Referee Justin Brown and UWMMA India Head Referee Andrew Canday.
All attendees demonstrated strong foundational skills and a high level of commitment. By the end of the training program, each participant was formally certified as a UWMMA India National Pro MMA Official, marking an important step in strengthening the professional standards of mixed martial arts officiating in the region.
